About Stuart McDonald

Stuart McDonald is an Executive Coach and Change Management professional with over 25 years’ experience in Human Resource, Employment Equity, Employee and Labour Relations. In his coaching practice, he has developed long-term client relationships with Presidents, CEOs and other business leaders across multiple industries and diverse cultures.

Stuart helps clients improve their performance, choose trajectories and make decisions that complete them as people. He is a great listener and known for his ability to uncover the root causes of dissatisfaction, of which clients are sometimes unaware.

He spent the first 10 years of his career developing a specialization in implementing successful customer service, sales and leadership coaching programs. This early success propelled him to take on new challenges as a Human Resources leader in Logistics and Transportation, a sector to which he has brought people-focused transformation.

Stuart holds an MSc in Psychology from the University of Toronto and an MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business. He obtained his Executive Coach certification from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and is certified with Prosci for Change Management. Stuart is an active member of the ICF (International Coaches Federation), the Neuro Leadership Institute and ACMP (Association of Change Management Professionals). Stuart has developed and facilitated leadership programs with York University and has worked extensively with them in program design. He has also contributed to Canadian Human Rights Commission publications in the area of diversity and inclusion.

An active member of the community, Stuart served as Director of Human Resources on the Board of the Georgian Triangle Humane Society and was a Board member of the Mark S. Bonham Sexual Diversity Program at University of Toronto’s University College. Stuart is an avid runner and has participated in over 30 local and international marathons.
